Kari has stayed at horse motels, horse campgrounds and sometimes just pulling over for a couple hours rest, during her travels. Sometimes it is difficult to find a safe, relaxing place, for both horses and owners while on the road.
These experiences, as well as a life filled with horses, has helped create a space that is welcoming and safe. Because Long View Acres is a private facility, there will not be traffic coming and going. The number of horses on the property will be limited to the
owner’s and your horses.
Since traveling can be stressful for some horses and owners, stopping by Long View Acres just makes sense. We have 20’x30’ runs, each with a 10’x10′ loafing shed and pasture turnouts are available for your horses to roam freely. While staying, you will have access to a 120’x150’ arena and a 40’ round pen.
Not a problem for Long View Acres. We have enough room to accommodate multiple horses. You are close to many other local horseman who put on a variety of clinics, as well as great trainers.
Need to layover between rodeos or events? Longer stays can be arranged. Guest horse owner’s must stay on property with horses unless other arrangements have been cleared with Long View Acres.
There are a number of great restaurants with different cuisine options in Elizabeth and Kiowa, as well as fast-food places in Elizabeth.
Downtown Kiowa has a wonderful locally owned feed store in Forty Mile Feed that is open 7 days a week. A Long View Acres representative can arrange to pick up hay or feed if you are arriving after their closing time. Please use the Contact page to request this service in advance.

If you are traveling from out of state, you must also have a current Coggins. All documentation must be sent in 24 hours (if time permits based on reservation) prior to arrival. No trailer will be allowed on the property with out documentation for the horses.
Of course, we are dog friendly and provide a kennel near the horse pens. All dogs MUST be kept on a leash or in the kennel at all times. You may have the best-behaved dog in the world, however, at Long View Acres it will need to be leashed or kenneled for the safety of all guests, horses, owner dogs and livestock. Not adhering to this rule may result in being asked to leave the property immediately.
